We are on our way home, south of Dayton, Ohio.
Don was flying IFR. We were at 8,000' & the cloud deck was at 6,000'.
The camera was in the back seat, in the bag. Just clouds -right? So Cindi scrambled for the camera while Don flew straight & level.... we'd seen the chase planes in the distance & figured they were behind us.
President Bush had just completed a speech in Scranton, PA and was on his way to Dayton, Ohio.
The plane passed 1,000' above us moving from our 10 o'clock position to our 3 o'clock position.
The closest photo is fuzzy as I was moving the camera from one half of our windscreen to the other! Darn it!
Overall - it was pretty cool!
